Go faux!

"We had so much cake left over after the reception that I was begging people to take it home with them." or "We were eating cake for weeks after the wedding." How can you avoid this situation at your reception? A great way to avoid a massive amount of left overs is by using dummy cakes (styrofoam). There are many more advantages to this technique. Such as it cuts the cost of an all cake wedding cake, a more smooth, flawless looking cake and is makes tranporting a "piece of cake". And no one will ever know the difference. You could display it at the reception and then take it with you to the open house a week later. There are many different options for using dummies, such as the bottom two tiers dummy and the top tier real cake to keep and freeze for your first anniversary. Or have all dummy and bring out a small single tier cake for the bride and groom to cut and serve your guest sheet cakes.
